Your Camino starts before the trail

Back in 2015, my partner and I saved our funds for over four years, took off on a world trip, and let the wind blow us where it wanted for however long. We started by walking the Camino Francés, and I was instantly hooked.

Since then, I've walked five Caminos across three routes, traveled through 30+ countries over two years, and fallen in love with the way the trail strips everything down to what matters. I also work in outdoor retail, so I know gear inside and out — what's worth the weight and what you'll abandon at the first donation box.

Whether you're dreaming about your first walk or fine-tuning your next one, I'm here to help you take the necessary steps toward turning your dream of walking the Camino into a reality.

The three stages of the Camino

Body, mind, and spirit — the trail teaches you in order

I
Body
The physical stage. Your feet hurt, your pack is heavy, and every hill is a negotiation. You learn what you actually need — and what you can let go of.
II
Emotional & mental
The body adapts, and the mind gets loud. Old stories surface. You walk through loneliness, doubt, and unexpected joy. The trail becomes a mirror.
III
Spiritual
Something shifts. Presence replaces planning. Gratitude replaces grasping. The Camino is magic, and it wants to provide — if you let it.

The 10 Camino essentials

What five walks taught me you actually need

01
The right footwear, broken in
Trail runners or boots — tested on long walks before you go
02
A 35-40L pack that fits your body
Every ounce truly counts — get fitted, not just sized
03
Rain protection that breathes
Light, waterproof jacket + pack rain cover
04
Merino base layers
Temperature regulation, odor resistance, comfort on repeat
05
A real blister kit
Leuko P tape, needle & thread, alcohol, gauze — non-negotiable
06
Sleep system: liner + earplugs + eye mask
Albergue sleep is a skill — these three make it possible
07
Trekking poles
Your knees on the descents will thank you every single day
08
Your credential and documents
Pilgrim passport, real passport, cash/euros, emergency contacts
09
Journal and pen
What you feel on the trail fades fast — write it while it's raw
10
An open heart
The Camino is magic, and it wants to provide — if you let it
"The Camino gives you what you need, not what you seek."
— Pilgrim proverb

Ready to start walking?

Whether you're still dreaming or already packing, I'd love to help you prepare for the journey ahead. The Camino provides — let's make sure you're ready to receive it.
